Every Pride Weekend needs a moment of calm in the middle of it. A chance to sit down, eat something that isn't a kebab at 2am, and remember that you actually like the people you're spending the weekend with. This is that moment.

Grai is hosting a picnic on the grass at Aire Park, the brand new green space around The Tetley, which is either a lovely spot for an afternoon in the sun or, in the event of a typically Yorkshire Saturday in July, a very wet walk to the pub. We are prepared for both outcomes. The Tetley is right there. It has a roof. We have thought this through.

Bring your own lunch. This is important. Grai is your host, not your caterer. There will be no sandwiches provided. Nobody is making you a flask of tea. Turn up with food and drinks, turn up with friends, find a patch of grass and treat the afternoon as the rare opportunity it is: daylight, fresh air, and a legitimate excuse to sit down for two hours in the middle of a four-day weekend.

If the weather holds, Aire Park in July is genuinely a lovely place to be in Leeds. If it doesn't, The Tetley's interior is warm, has good food and plenty of space.

Either way, 1pm, Saturday. Head to The Tetley and find us on one of the green bits around it.

An early evening Italian food group meal with Kelly Fox

Food that arriv… At some point on Saturday afternoon, having eaten a picnic on the grass and stared at the sky for a bit, you will need actual food. Proper food. Food that arrives on a plate and was cooked by someone who knows what they're doing.

Kelly Fox has sorted this.

Ciao Bella is a family-run Italian on Dock Street, tucked a few steps away from Bridge End Social, the kind of place that does what it says with no fuss and considerable competence. The pasta is arguably some of the best in Leeds, the atmosphere is warm without being cloying, and it is a short and pleasant walk from Aire Park, which is exactly what you want at 5pm on day two of a four-day weekend when your feet are already making their feelings known.

This is a group dinner, which means it's sociable, chilled and chaotic all at the same time. Kelly is your host and has done the organising, so the only thing you need to do is message her to get your name on the booking. Do that before you assume there's space. There is a finite number of seats and Kelly is not a magician.

Once you're on the list: turn up, order pasta, and have a conversation that doesn't start with "so how was your Pride so far" for at least the first ten minutes.

Ciao Bella is open until 10pm on Saturdays, so there's no rush. Though the rest of Saturday evening does have things in it, so perhaps don't order the tiramisu twice.

To book your place, message Kelly Fox directly.

Join Leeds First Friday in the Leeds Pride Parade 2026! Leeds Pride is one of the largest and most iconic Pride parades in the UK, and this year is a big one… Join Leeds First Friday in the Leeds Pride Parade 2026!

Leeds Pride is one of the largest and most iconic Pride parades in the UK, and this year is a big one: Leeds Pride celebrates its 20th anniversary, while Leeds First Friday celebrates 18 years of community, visibility and trans joy.

We would love LFF to have an unmissable presence on the streets of Leeds, walking together, celebrating together, and showing our community at its brightest, loudest and proudest.

All confirmed parade places have now been filled, but you can still register your interest for the waiting list. If a space becomes available, we will contact people in the weeks leading up to the parade. In the event of high demand, priority may be given to regular Leeds First Friday attendees to help ensure fair access for our core community.

Can’t join us in the parade itself? You can still be part of the celebration. The Leeds Pride Parade is free to watch from all along the streets of Leeds, so come cheer us on, wave, make some noise, and help fill the city with Pride.

Please use the link below to register your interest and receive email updates about the day, including meeting point, timings and practical information.

The parade starts at 12:30pm, with LFF participants gathering beforehand. Get your brightest outfits, biggest smiles and Pride energy ready.

Participation in the parade is at your own risk. Please take care of yourself and your belongings, and think about anything you may need to take part safely, including hydration, sun protection, mobility needs, medication or anything else that helps you have a safe and joyful day.

You've done the group photo. You've possibly done something inadvisable with a glitter cannon. The question now is: where do you actually go?

The answer, as it has been for several years running, is The End.

Hirst's Yard, just off Lower Briggate, is one of those places that has no business being as good as it is. A courtyard bar in Leeds city centre that somehow manages to feel like a secret even when a thousand people are in it. No tickets, no entry charge, tables out all day, food from early afternoon, and the kind of vocal house and disco soundtrack that makes you realise you're not as tired as you thought you were twenty minutes ago.

For the Leeds First Friday crowd specifically, there's an added draw: Roberta Borelli is on the decks. Our resident trans DJ, the one who's been making Friday nights at The End what they are, is back for a second set across the Pride weekend, because apparently one wasn't enough and frankly we support that decision entirely. If you were there on the Friday you'll understand. If you weren't, this is your consolation prize and it's a good one. The party runs from 1pm to 11pm outside, then carries on inside until 4am for anyone who has managed to metabolise the afternoon and is ready to commit to the evening. Most people say they'll leave by 7. Statistically, this has not been happening.

This year its FREE entry. No booking needed. Come as you are (including the glitter).
