Terms & Conditions

The basics of how LFF works, attending events, using this site, and what we expect from each other.

Who we are

Leeds First Friday Society is an unincorporated association based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. We organise the monthly Leeds First Friday social event, the UK's largest trans+ social, and related activities, primarily for trans and gender diverse people. The Society formally came into effect on 20 July 2026.

LFF events are free to attend and open to everyone who supports our aims and values. You don't need to be a member to come along.

Attending events

LFF is a safe, welcoming and inclusive space. By attending any event we organise, you're agreeing to treat everyone with respect and to follow any event guidelines in place.

We don't tolerate harassment, discrimination, or behaviour that makes others feel unsafe, including transphobia, homophobia, racism, misogyny, or any other form of prejudice. This applies at our events and in our online spaces.

The co-chairs and coordination team reserve the right to ask anyone to leave an event or activity under our direct control, and to suspend or exclude individuals from membership, volunteering, and official online spaces where serious concerns arise. This is set out in more detail in our Constitution.

Note that the monthly LFF social takes place across public venues in Leeds's Freedom Quarter. Individual venue entry and conduct policies are set by those venues, we can't control who enters public bars.

Photography & video

Attendees take and share photos at LFF. Please ask before photographing others, and always respect a request not to be included.

LFF volunteers and the coordination team may photograph and film events for social media, community records and publicity. We will always ask permissions before any such photography or filming. If you'd prefer not to appear in material we share publicly, please let a host or volunteer know on the night, we'll always respect that.

Photography or filming intended to identify or target individuals without consent is not permitted at LFF events.

Online spaces

Our official online spaces, including our Discord server, Facebook group, Instagram and TikTok, are part of the Society's activities. Anyone using these spaces, whether or not they're a member, is expected to follow the rules and values of Leeds First Friday.

Moderation decisions rest with admins and moderators of the relevant platforms. Serious behaviour in online spaces may be escalated to coordination team and co-chairs. This will be taken into account when considering membership or event access.
